Meet Christina
Christina Nykanyirri Nwachukwu (CNN) is a seasoned Business Strategist, Executive Coach, and leadership development expert with more than 15 years of experience driving organizational transformation, operational excellence, and sustainable growth. As a Sales and Leadership Coach at Southwestern Consulting, she leverages her diverse personal and corporate background to help clients elevate their performance, strengthen their leadership skills, and unlock their full potential.
Christina’s professional journey spans a range of industries and company sizes, giving her a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities leaders face. She began her career in a private equity-backed startup before joining the globally recognized professional services firm Ernst & Young. She later held a corporate finance and strategy leadership role at another private equity-backed company before transitioning to Protiviti Global Consulting, where she spent nearly five years. The final year of her Protiviti tenure was intentionally dedicated to the firm’s global learning and development department, where she supported associate directors, directors, and managing directors, the firm’s front-line business growth leaders, equipping them with education, tools, and strategies to successfully go to market.
Her passion for developing people led her to join Velocity Advisory Group as Vice President of Business Development and Service Delivery, where she also served as an Executive Coach for corporate professionals and senior leaders. Across all these roles, Christina has honed expertise in business and finance transformation, strategic growth planning, operational improvement, and cultural alignment, always anchored in a deep commitment to people development.
Christina has been in sales in some form for over 15 years, recognizing that whether in consulting, corporate leadership, or coaching, sales is about influence – selling ideas, building trust, and inspiring others to take action.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance and a bachelor’s degree in political science (Pre-Law) with minors in humanities and English writing from Howard Payne University. She also earned an MBA in Strategic Management and Corporate Finance from the University of Dallas. Additionally, she is certified in Human-Centered Design Thinking through the LUMA Institute and is a Certified Scrum Master.
Christina’s approach to coaching is both results-driven and deeply personal. She believes that sustainable success is built on understanding who you are, knowing what you want, charting a clear path to get there, holding yourself accountable to the steps required, advocating for yourself in moments of doubt or when breaking through barriers, being your own biggest cheerleader, and celebrating your wins. “Seeing someone win makes me the happiest,” she says. “When a client calls to say they got the job we’ve been working toward for months, the joy in their voice is the real reward. My response is always, ‘Thank you for giving me an opportunity to live in my passion.’”
Her clients know her for her warmth, energy, and ability to create a safe yet challenging coaching environment – a space where they feel seen, supported, and pushed to grow. She has a gift for blending big-picture vision with actionable strategies, ensuring that leaders not only set ambitious goals but also achieve them. Whether in one-on-one sessions, group workshops, or keynote presentations, Christina inspires clients to step outside their comfort zones and fully commit to their growth.
As a multicultural professional — South Sudanese, Ugandan, American, and married to a Nigerian — Christina brings a unique lens to leadership development. She thrives on learning people’s stories and helping them write their next chapters. Her passion for coaching extends beyond corporate executives to high school and college students, young professionals, and emerging leaders, equipping them with the skills to succeed in leadership roles and in life.
Clients working with Christina can expect a coach who is deeply invested in their success, committed to accountability, and skilled at turning potential into performance. With her combination of strategic insight, leadership expertise, and unwavering belief in her clients’ abilities, she helps individuals and organizations not only meet their goals but exceed them, building both results and confidence that last.
